Course Plans for Mountain Rescue Ireland in 2026

Following a successful Initial Response Search Management Course delivered for Mountain Rescue Ireland (MRI) on the 8th November we are pleased to announce that we will be embarking on the delivery of several more courses for MRI in 2026.

We will be delivering our Initial Response Search Management Course for them once again in March and look forwards to working with representatives of teams from across Irealand.

In June we will be training two cohorts of eight MRI team members to deliver our Search Field Skills Course when we travel across to the Glen of Imaal MRT's excellent Team Base in Laragh, County Wicklow, to deliver our Search Field Skills - Train the Trainer Course.

We will return in October to assess each cohort on separate days.  The assessment will include an exam and an assessment of the candidates ability to deliver of the course materials and conduct practical training to other members of the organisation. Successful candidates will be licensed to teach this course to their own organisation for a period of three years.
