New Police Point of Contact
We are very happy to report that, upon the departure of Rachel Bacon for her new job in South Wales, we have a new Single Point of Contact for the Centre for Search Research's liaison with our local constabulary, Northumbria Police.
Superintendent Andy Huddleston, now joins our trustee meetings and acts in this liaison role.
Andy is a very well experienced police officer with a background in Mountain Rescue and is also the point of contact with Northumbria Police for local MRT's, Northumberland National Park MRT and North of Tyne MRT.
As such, Andy was already well versed with the work of MRT's and very familiar with the work we do at the Centre for Search Research in informing, training and supporting organisations with a responsibility for missing persons search.
We would like to say a big thank you to Andy for his enthusiasm and his willingness to get involved and take on this role. We look forward to working with him as we move forwards with new developments and hopefully resume 'normal' service very soon.
